This is an article on how to check if a website is blocked or allowed in Lightspeed for an entire APS group or individual student.
Rules Checker for Group
Navigate to Default Rules by clicking Internet Access > Default Rules on the left side interface.
Here you will see the Rules Checker. You can enter a website to quickly get back the category that the website is in, along with whether it should be allowed or blocked based on the rules for the APS group you are currently scoped into. In the screenshot below, I have entered reddit.com. We can see that this website is classified as mature, and it is blocked.
If you are unsure of how a website is categorized, enter the website URL into the Enter a website or youtube video/channel to check.
Rules Checker for Individual Student
Navigate to Users by clicking the tab on the left side interface. To find a student, search by first and last name or student ID in the search field. Once you find the student, click on the students name to open their student information panel. The Rules tab shows you all of the browsing policies that are in place for this student.
In the student information panel under Rules < Access Check, you can also check whether or not a URL should be accessible to a student.
